Kiambu Couple Found Dead in Suspected Suicide, Infant Rescued
Police in Karinde, Kiambu Conty, are investigating a suspected murder-suicide involving a couple whose decomposing bodies were discovered inside their home on Sunday.
A police report revealed that the man was found hanging from an electricity cable while the woman’s body was lying on the floor. Beside the deceased mother, officers found an infant, estimated to be about one and a half years old, alive but in need of urgent care. The child was rushed to Mutuini Hospital for medical attention.
The man, identified as Reuben Ndede from his ID card, is suspected of killing his wife before ending his life. However, the identity of the woman has not yet been confirmed.
The bodies have been moved to the Nairobi City Morgue, where postmortem examinations will be conducted to establish the cause of death. Meanwhile, investigators are working to determine the circumstances that led to the tragic incident.
